The S/A features a standard claw-pole alternator that has enough power to turn over any engine up to a 4.2-liter size. No word on pricing, but it is believed that it will be a cost-effective application for any automaker that intends to upgrade its conventional engines with a S/A capability. Visteon Aftermarket has introduced a line of 100% New and Premium Remanufactured Alternators and Starters for all cars and light trucks. The 100 percent new products are performance-tested to meet Visteon 0E-quality standards. The Premium Remanufactured products are made using an engineered process similar to how new units are manufactured. Valeo SA says that extensive R&D into combining functions of a standard engine-mounted alternator with that of a starter motor has produced the Starter Alternator Reversible System, which has "achieved its technical objectives."
But what a site. Its core navigation device is a table of contents managed by a pale grey silhouette of a bloke who leans down and points to the topic you are clicking on. When somebody hacks this site you know exactly that they''re going to make these figures interact. Just how this all contributes to selling the practice escapes you, but who cares? What a lot of fun.
